Why Coaching? Why Now?

I’ve spent a long time searching for the right career. I pondered over and over, what would I do if money were no object? All I knew was that I wanted to have impact on people’s lives. I craved the satisfaction of using my best attributes to improve the way others navigated the world.

I thought about transitioning to coaching for a long time. I love connecting with people. I’m an empathetic and thoughtful listener. I am fulfilled by others’ success and growth. But for the past decade, I’ve stayed in roles that did not take full advantage of these characteristics. I stuck to jobs that felt aligned to my education, a salary I felt I should be earning, a company name that people recognized.

What I needed was exactly what I hope to provide to everyone I’ll be working with - whether one on one or in group settings. I needed a coach to help me identify my values, match my values to goals and work with me to establish steps to reach those goals.

I’ve spent almost 2 decades building my professional reputation and network in New York City & Silicon Valley and I understand what it means to want, or need, more. The years I’ve spent in sales, marketing, product management organizations allow me to relate to leaders on the cusp of discovering exactly what it is they want to do and how they can make their vision a reality.

If the past 18 months have taught me anything, it’s that we can’t wait to make things happen. We have no idea what’s around the corner. The time to take leaps and follow our passions is now. Leadership coaching allows me to take the best of everything I’ve learned, along with the tools provided by the CoActive Training Institute coaching certification program and create space for exploration and evolution. I couldn’t be more excited to take the skills that come most naturally to me in order to realize  my and my clients’ dreams.
